| ELYSIUM ANNOUNCES CADpdm SYNCHRONIZATION TOOL FOR DIGITAL DESIGN DATA EXCHANGE
PDM Synchronization Technology Introduced at NDES SOUTHFIELD, MI, March 3, 2003 Elysium Inc., a leading global provider of digital design data exchange software, today announced the CADpdm synchronization tool at this years National Design Engineering Show (NDES). This technology is designed to match PDM and product structure information between different PDM systems. Product data management (PDM) consistency is required to ensure that everyone involved in a project is referring to the same data. Not only is the CAD model data required, but also product structure and metadata from the sending and receiving systems need to be consistent, accurate and up-to-date. Translating geometric information from a CAD model is reaching a plateau, according to Ken Tashiro, COO, Elysium Inc. Now we need to coordinate all the product structure information that corresponds with CAD models. As a plug-in to CADserver, the PDM synchronization technology has been implemented at a major automotive manufacturer. Model geometry and the associated PDM metadata are extracted from the original system and uniquely and completely defined in the target system with metadata consistent with the originating system. Version tracking is clearly defined between systems. CADpdm streamlines digital design data exchange by maintaining product structure and coordinating data between systems and eliminating the manual process of version updates with subsequent translations. Elysium will be discussing the CADpdm technology at NDES, Mar 3-6, 2003, on the Autodesk Booth #5901. About Elysium Inc.
