Elysium Releases Full Commercial Version of CADdoctor
Advanced, Interactive, Model Healing Tool for 3D CAD Data Now Available
 
Southfield, MI –June 17, 2002 - Elysium Inc., a leading global provider of CAD translation software, today released the full commercial version of CADdoctor™.
 
CADdoctor, from Elysium Inc., is a powerful software tool that allows users to interactively identify 3D data errors, and solve and heal the data as they are translated from one 3D CAD system to another. The system visually identifies any errors in a 3D model, categorizes and lists them according to their severity level. CADdoctor allows the user to interactively visualize and repair each error, and also provides the tools for fully-automated healing.

Elysium has been testing CADdoctor for nearly a year at various user sites, using an iterative development process so that all possible human and mathematical errors in a 3D model can be identified, visualized and repaired. CADdoctor allows the setting of various tolerances including duplicate point, edge gap, short edge, sliver and duplicate surface and can modify invalid entities and correct topological errors. It also supports auto-stitching with a user-specified stitch tolerance and is compatible with the PDQ standard for data quality. The product supports ACIS® (SAT), CATIA® (v4.x), I-DEAS®, IGES, Unigraphics®, Solidworks® and Pro/ENGINEER® and runs on Windows NT and Windows 2000 platforms.
