Elysium and Samsung SDS Announce Strategic Partnership
Deal Opens Korean Market to Elysium Translation Products
Southfield, MI –July 25, 2002 - Elysium Inc., a leading global provider of CAD translation software, today announced a strategic partnership with Samsung SDS Co. Ltd., a leader in packaged software provision for large manufacturing enterprises in the Korean market.

Under the agreement, Samsung SDS will localize, support and distribute Elysium’s CADporter™ and CADdoctor™ products, which provide the industry’s highest success rate in CAD-to-CAD system translation and healing. Both companies spent more than a year performing thorough testing, benchmarking and negotiation to reach the agreement.

They handle the differing topological representations of the supported CAD systems and can perform automatic healing to resolve inconsistencies that regularly occur during the conversion of surface and solid CAD models. These products allow true interoperability between ACIS®-based applications, Autodesk Inventor®, CATIA®, I-DEAS®, Pro/ENGINEER®, SolidWorks® and Unigraphics®. This rapid exchange facilitates improvement in designer productivity and reduces cost associated with incompatible translation tools by reading and writing true native file formats.
